EXPORT TO QATAR
Getting your pet ready to leave Qatar can take time so be prepared and enquire well in advance. Some countries enforce blood tests, strict waiting periods and quarantine for pets upon arrival. Even if you have no plans to leave Qatar, it is a good idea to prepare your pet as much as possible.
Approximate preparation times are as follows:
- Australia / New Zealand / Japan: 7 – 9 months - Europe (including UK): 3 – 5 months - South Africa: 2 – 3 months - USA / Canada / South America: 1 – 2 months - India / Sri Lanka / Thailand / Philippines / South Korea: 1 -2 months To exit Qatar, pets must be at least 4 months old, microchipped (on or before the Rabies vaccine) and fully vaccinated including boosters (Rabies + DHPPiL for dogs and Rabies + RCP for cats). Pets can travel from Qatar as Excess Baggage in Cabin, Excess Baggage in Aircraft Hold (Accompanied Baggage) or Manifested Cargo under an AWB (Unaccompanied Baggage).
