All pets in Qatar are required by law to be micro-chipped. It gives your pet the best chance at finding their way home if they are lost, and reduces the risk of them being sold if they are found. A microchip is a means of unique permanent identification and we highly recommend having dogs, cats and birds micro-chipped. This is a simple and safe procedure that can be performed during a veterinary consultation with your pet. Alternatively, we can do this when your pet is admitted for a procedure that requires anaesthesia such as routine desexing. Important information such any specific health issues the pet may have, such as epilepsy, diabetes or penicillin allergies can also be recorded on the database.
